Schedule for July 30 &31

Boy, I really am not any good at keeping up with a blog! I need to set a regular and consistent time to blog, I just don't know when that would be in my already full schedule.

It was another busy week for Maria and I, but this time it was all Marriage Encounter related. We had a Community meeting last Friday for all of the circle leaders and community leaders. On Sunday was the community picnic for all of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky circles. To top it off, this Saturday is the local ME picnic with the Lebanon Lovers and Loverflows circles at Armco Park and guess who is in charge. 

Well with that in mind I need to get this blog finished, so I can get busy readying picnic supplies.

Schedule for July 16 & 17

Ouch, another two week lag in updating the blog! Well that is part of the reason that I am blogging on this somewhat easy topic. I need to get used to blogging on a regular basis before I post my work blog in the (hopefully) not too distant future. 

It was a busy week for me this past week end. I was the cantor at Jeff and Heather Linsey's wedding. That was a first for me. I also assisted Deacon Jay by leading the music for a Baptism Service for four new arrivals to the Saint Francis Community.

Wow, I can't believe it has been two weeks since my last update. This blogging is more work than I thought, especially for someone who never kept a diary or a journal. Schedule for June 18-19

Well this week is the last choir rehearsal for the summer. Hope all of you have a safe summer season and don't forget summer choir. Summer choir is a wonderful time to invite those who have not been singing with us to come up and join us. It is a little more relaxed with easier, more familiar music. 

Summer would also be a great time to stop in and celebrate Monday night prayer service with us. If you have ever thought about being a cantor or an instrumentalist, this is a terrific way to get up in front of a smaller, very welcoming group of parishioners, who would be glad to hear you.

I will miss both rehearsal and Sunday Mass this week. I will be traveling to Wichita, Kansas to attend my sister's daughter's wedding. It is a long trip and I will be sharing the driving responsibilities with Maria, my Mom and my Dad. Hope all goes well for those of you that will be there.

The new Saint Francis deSales Choir Blog

This is the first of what I hope to be weekly blog posts for the Saint Francis deSales Choir. I have wanted to post a blog for some time now and just did not know what to post on. I think that there might be a need to keep all of the members up to speed on the schedule and various happenings for the choir. I can already hear the complaints that there is not enough time in the day and I am over volunteered the way it is, but..... I hope for this to be a fun and not so threatening way to stick my toe into the dangerous waters of the blogesphere.
